On Tuesday, January 13th, we will mark the beginning of the next chapter at Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center, and we hope you will join us for this important milestone.
This groundbreaking marks the start of the final phase of construction on a transformational expansion designed to serve our youth, members, and community for generations to come. The project includes:
- A fitness center twice the size of the previous space, free and open to the community
- Restored men’s and women’s locker rooms, upgraded to a higher standard
- A teaching kitchen to expand nutrition programming
- A dedicated administrative wing with conference space
- A ground-level pro shop for branded merchandise and racquet services
- A new ADA-accessible lobby and the Bud Collins Welcome Center
- Two new outdoor courts, an outdoor playspace, and a walking track
- The Breaking the Barriers exhibit chronicling the history of Black tennis in America
- A teen center, already built, with plans to welcome partners focused on college and career readiness
Together, these additions will expand access to tennis, health, and community programming while creating more welcoming and functional spaces for all.
The ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m., and we look forward to welcoming Sportsmen’s alumni, board members, elected officials, partners, members, and families to celebrate this exciting moment.
Your support has made this vision possible, and we are deeply grateful. If you are able to attend, please RSVP by emailing Mary Long so we can plan accordingly. If you are unable to join us in person, please know how thankful we are for your continued belief in Sportsmen’s and in what we are building together.
