Tennis Trailblazer Award
Benny Sims
In Honor of Benny Sims
Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center recognizes, thanks and congratulates our own Benny Sims. On November 18th, at the Sportsmen’s Tennis Ball , Benny will receive the Tennis Trailblazer Award, which is presented annually to someone who helped open doors of opportunities for players at all levels of the game. As you well know, Benny built a junior tennis pipeline at Sportsmen’s that allowed hundreds of young players to pursue their dreams at the regional, national and collegiate tennis levels. He then went on to become the Head Tennis Pro at the storied Longwood Cricket Club, the first Black tennis coach in the Ivy League (Harvard), and the coach of 7 time WTA Champion Chanda Rubin.
We hope you’ll come to Lombardo’s in Randolph to help us celebrate with Benny. If you’re unable to attend, please consider donating in honor of Benny or expressing your appreciation by placing an ad in the program book, which we know will become a treasured keepsake for Benny.
For more information on placing an ad contact Mary Long, Director of Special Events and Community Engagement, at MLong@sportsmenstennis.org.
