Meet the Sportsmen’s Marathon Team

What do you do with your day? Are you employed, a student, retired?
I am currently a sophomore at Boston College.

How long have you been running?
I have been running for all my life, but I specifically started in the 10th grade running Cross Country.

What made you want to run for Sportsmen’s (STEC)?
I have played tennis all my life and it has been my favorite sport and I really wanted to help a charity that gave kids a chance to find the same passion for tennis that I have.

If you could time travel back anywhere – where would it be? And why?
I think I would travel back to the age of the dinosaurs to see what life was like back then. It’d be so different and new to experience, I think it would be amazing.

Who is your favorite athlete of all time? And why are they your favorite?
Personally, as a Detroit sports fan, I would say Barry Sanders because of the class that he plays with as a player and the fact that he is the best running back to ever grace an NFL field. He represents the city of Detroit well.

If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be? And why?
I think I would have dinner with Avicii who is my favorite DJ of all time and I would just love to learn what he was like and what his interests were and how he acted as a person

Why should someone support your run?
People should support my run because STEC provides excellent resources to kids who may not have the opportunity otherwise, and provides them both academic and athletic opportunities. It is a great chance to give back in a way that supports other people and supports the mission of STEC.
